Yeah. When they are new to the sport they tend to aim for the gloves while sparring. And then I have to remind them they can hit anywhere above the waist. But so do alot of the guys when they are new. So I often go without cover with the newlings. Since I usually see their attack coming a mile away. I found it's an efficient way to letting them get used to the sometimes foreign idea of hitting someone else in the face.

Unfortunatly for me we are pretty low on students with more then a few months of training experience. So I have to hold back most of the time.
