know Khru Tong had many students.

Kru Tong have Many student but have two person Kru Tong said can teach after Kru tong die is Kru Preang And Kru Tum.

Kru Tum now Teach in Chulalongkorn University.

Kru Preang learn Krabi Krabong in Ramkamhaeng University and joined the University’s Ancient Fighting Weapons Club, which was well known for its being a melting pot for such diverse weapons schools as Buddhai Sawan, Padung Sith, Pran Nok, Athamat, Naresuan, and Meed Sun Tong (Golden Dagger). Post-graduation, Kru Preang continued to seek and learn from other masters.

The above statement has been contested by other krus of muaychaiya, including brother of kru Tong himself. Students of kru Praeng are quick to discredit other krus of muaychaiya, including Kru Pedro Villalobos,when he appeared on a TV show. BTW Kru Pedro Villalobos has taught our member, fire cobra recently.

So if you train at kru Praeng camp, be prepared to be isolated by other muaychaiya camps. They say that the proof is in the pudding. Kru Praeng's students claim that he has fought at some obscured venues, but kru Tong's brother who also teaches, has fought at main stadiums. Also, Kru Praeng has never produced a single fighter who has won a known fight, yet another teacher of muaychaiya, whom kru Praeng's students discredited as mutated muaychaiya, had his student fight on a main bout and won by KO at the annual border town of Mae Sod fight this April.

Students of Kru Praeng not only bad mouth other muaychaiya teachers, they were also quick to put down sportmuaythai teachers for not having deep knowledge of muaythai fight tactics. My challenge to students of muaychaiya of kru Praeng about four years ago to come to Fairtex was never accepted. This even spreaded on to other martial arts, and there was a very heated controversial discussion on a Thai web board how young kru Praeng was taught a stern lesson by a Thai teacher of chinese fighting art.

thanks for pointing out these things. l basically wanted to see what
khru Praeng people say about the Chaiya situation.
My teacher in Thailand also had problems because of their claims.
It's good to see other points of view.
I read about Khru Villalobos' students success, at least he spreads the
art without making such claims.

The situation with Muay CHiaya is ridiculous even with Kru Lek who is not an innocent here but also slings alot of nonsense around. Kru Praeng is a racist who will not teach the foreigners, he told the thais in class if they do he will curse them. Every thai who trains with him knows this.Now he has changed his tune, yes he will teach but it will take you twenty years to learn what it took him two to learn. A good teacher should know how to teach his material better in time not worse.

Its stupid shit. Best bet is to steer clear of the mess and dont get involved.

There are really good muay chaiya teachers around less well known, very humble and with good skill who dont want to be involved with this and continue to teach. Seek them out.

Kru Praeng has an excellent propaganda plan but it will explode in his face in time.

Kru Pedro Villalobos,is a very nice man and a very good teacher,i never heard any bad words from him about anyone during my(short) time at his camp.
