Default Duke Ruffus (sp?)

For those of you that know of Duke Ruffus, would you please share your thoughts and impressions on what you have seen of him? I have the oppertunity to train at his gym, but before I sign up I really would like to know as much as I can about his style/approach/etc. Thanks

Let me start by saying that I'm not close friends with either of the Roufus brothers. I have had occasion to interact with both of them and they were perfectly professional as well as friendly and outgoing. Once I was taking a fighter to Puerto Rico for a title fight. Duke was on the same card vs a very sneaky fighter named Jimbo Mullen. Jim was a friend of mine and definitely where my loyalties lay. That said, both brothers were friendly at all times.

I have nothing but respect for Duke and his brother. They have both gone above and beyond to educate themselves. They have trained in gyms that most white american kickboxers aren't willing to visit. They have truly paid their dues and have a great love of the sport. They both fought the very very best the world had to offer.

I would have no problems recommending Duke as a completely capable trainer and a damn good fighter. Beyond that, he's a good guy!
