Muay Thai in Long Beach, CA

    Howdy,

I just moved down from Northern California. I had been training at Nasser Niavaroni's "Kickboxing Inc." in Roseville, CA. My trainers were the excellent Eric and Ezra Regan.

Now I'm in Long Beach and I'm trying to find a gym that caters to my needs. All the places I can find down here "teach" Muay Thai in conjunction with something else it seems. Like MT + Krav Maga. It's all white boys who saw a UFC fight. No one has good technique (i.e. don't even keep their hands up...)

I'm looking at Khmer Kickboxing on Anaheim and Long Beach Blvd. The trainer is an old Cambodian dude and the place looks legit, but I want to be sure this is the best place in town before I sign up.

So, anyone know a GOOD Muay Thai gym in Long Beach?

    Thanks!

    Muay Thai Long Beach

I just moved to long beach after training with Team Oyama for 4 years. The team has several world champions and US Champions in Muay Thai. I also trained almost 2 years with Razor Rob Mccolough at HB Ultimate.

I havn't seen a legit Muay Thai Training program in long beach. So I am definately driving back to train with our team in Irvine.

But in the meantime I'm gonna start a twice a week practice in Long Beach for those that are interested. We'll do a lot of padwork, drills, and sparring for those who want to spar.

Hit me up at giocerasani *at* gmail.com. if you want to train

You must be pretty damn good if you were taught by Ronald Regan himself!

Sorry to say but that grading structure and what you are writing about has NOTHING to do with muay thai. Its a commercial exploitation of muay thai at best and really sad.

It looks like all of his posts say the same thing...

"In all countries where personal freedom is valued, however much each individual may rely on legal redress, the right of each to carry arms - and these the best and the sharpest - for his own protection in case of extremity, is a right of nature indelible and irrepressible, and the more it is sought to be repressed the more it will recur."

I guess all the posts were removed. It seems they will try to validate programs like that by selling ranks.

Muay Thai in Long Beach, CA

I live in Cerritos which is about 5 miles from Long Beach. I am a student at Dobler's Muay Thai in Fontana. Kru Bryan only teaches Muay Thai. His stance and form is second to none. I know Fontana is a long drive from Long Beach but he has classes from 630 until 10 M-Th and classes on Friday and Saturday.

If you are looking for Thai Boxing Association Schools, Dobler's Muay Thai, OC Kickboxing, Inosanto Academy and Boxing Works are around you.
