![]() | Yes, Rick Tucci is a great instructor. To this day I've never seen any woman hit the pads as hard as his wife, Amy Tucci does. They are amazing. I've seen Angela Rivera fight and she hits hard but Ms. Tucci was incredible... yeah it was only pads but it was fantastic. I met them both at a seminar with Guro Inosanto and the first chance I got, I made a bee line to Ms. Tucci to pick her brain a little bit about my form and technique. Jeff Jones also hails from that school (Princeton Academy of Martial Arts). For the last two years I've seen him at Thai Camp, he has been one of the group leaders for the fight corp. He led runs, dished out push ups, and was an altogether great guy... I mean that fromt he bottom of my heart. He gave me and Khru Bernales trips back and forth from the airport, to and from the only camp locale with hot showers... and never once did he ever refuse to explain a technique or impart a trade secret. On top of all that Khru Jones is a full on bad motha f*%$er... He has incredible technique. When I got injured at camp last year I had a moment to watch the campers working out from my perch near the mess hall. I made sure I kept my eyes on Khru Bernales, Khru Jones, Khru Guinn, and Khru De Los Reyes (Mateo). They were my favorites to soak up techniques from... They all moved so smooth and were so technical. Poetry in motion. I think Jeff Jones might still be with Khru Tucci at the Princeton Academy but I've heard rumors that he had left the school and was maybe going to start doing his own thing... But that's all it is... a rumor. Either way, look them up. Mike Lee is also from that school... great guy and awesome technician as well. b. |
