I have noticed that I sometimes get the urgent to fight wherever I am, no matter or how skillful my oppoent may be. I am not sure why, maybe its cos I want to pin what I have learned in class against them. Maybe fighting makes me feel a better. Maybe I just wanted to see what it feels like to fight them. Maybe I need to join another club? Since the current club I am in only trains 3 days a week

often I feel that it isn't enough.

So, myself and friends have fought at parties, sorta our own fight club... lol, yes there are rules cos none of us wants to bleed, or go home with a black eye or a set of broken teeth. Sometimes it hurts like sh*t, for some guys won't hold back :\ it felt like sparring without any protection. Usually when I have a friend over at my place, or I am at theirs (we have fought in the bed room, garage, back yard, lounge room, bath room, kitchen room lol)... I would ask them if they want a fight or not... cos I want to feel what it is like to fight them regardless of the styles they practiced. I don't think its a matter of ego, since I don't go, "hey dude! wanna fight? I think i can beat you!" or "You gotta check out my round house kicks!".

Is it a good thing or is it bad? I dont do it anymore, cos sometimes i think its just plain stupid :\, but I have learned a lot from that way.

*Caution: I hope its not a n00b (newbie) question that was already discussed.

One of these days you may end up in jail. Im not trying to be rude but eventually a lifestyle like that is gonna catch up with you. I understand how you feel, because i feel that way too sometimes, but you never know these days who might just pull out a gun and shoot your ass. I have a martial arts background of Muay Thai, Shooto, and JKD concepts, and i carry a knife and a gun on me at all times. This may seem excessive to some but there is no honor on the street anymore, and these days it seems that its coming down to kill or be killed. MY advice is to harness some humility, and try to keep the fight in the ring. Good luck! My Signiture says it all

no, sorry.............. i forgot to state one thing... its only done amongst friends who agreed to fight.. otherwise i would see no point fighting...

My friends and i used to do that sort of thing and ppl thought we were crazy.

We tried everything on each other to a certin degree.

It was alot of fun we laugh about it all the time.We even got to the point where we would take the plastic gal jugs that milk comes in and fight with them like boxing gloves.It was funny because everytime you nailed someone with a good shot the top would fly off and the jug would collospe.So we'd have to stop and blow the jugs back up put on the top and go at it again.

Today when we get into a little argument the first thing my friend yells out is don't make me go get the jugs.And we both just bust out laughing.

They don't have a real fight club where you're from? I live in Omaha, Ne ha ha I know But there's alot more out here then people think. Every tuesday at "Club amnesia" there's fight nite. There's weight classes and everything. There's str8 submission fighting, kick boxing or NHB ( No HOLDS BARRED) regardless it's a safe way to relieve some stress without having to worry about street bullshit. And any one who steps in the ring gets respect. You should see what you could do to organize something like that if it's that deep to you.
