Sorry guys but foot wart problems have prevented me from doing any barefoot martial arts. Also I need to lose like 10-15 pounds fast, gotta seize an opportunity wit a woman. so I start KICKBOXING very soon, I'm taking @ the ymca, so I can also pump weights to get ready for wrestling season. Wish me luck

I began training at the YMCA at the end of this January. Since that time, I have dropped 40lbs. I lost 30lbs in the first two months, and my weight loss slowed down to a crawl this last month, but now I'm beginning to drop weight again.
Make sure you are doing cardiovascular work outside of the kickboxing class. Kickboxing is a mixture of aerobic/anaerobic activity. You need to take up a regular cardio-training regimine outside of your class. I would suggest running, cycling, or swimming, all of which are available in some form or another at most YMCA's.
