Hi people, basically i'm looking for a good Muay Thai boxing trainer/gym in my area - but am having great difficulty.
I live in England and all the good camps seem to be up North, alot of which are open 7 days a week. All ive found in my area is places that train twice a week maximum for an hour-hour 1/2 each time, in a smallish area or school hall etc with very little equipment. Ive had some MA training in the past, and would love to train in Thai. I'm very dedicated & passionate in what i do, and ideally would like to train 5 times a week. Eventually i want to fight in the ring (i know it'll take alot of time, but all good things come to those who wait) but i dont think that'll happen only training twice a week in the given conditions... moving up North is a bit drastic so any ideas on what i can do? I currently live in England (Bedfordshire) Any help/info/advice would be greatly appreciated. |

Only thing I can suggest is to drop an email to someone at one of the following gyms:-
www.badcompany.co.uk http://www.thaiboxing.co.uk/ http://members.lycos.co.uk/mungsarin/ Ask if they can recommend somewhere in your area. Also try asking on http://www.axkickboxing.com/ Or move to Leeds and train at BadCo with us lot ![]() Oh and it doesn't take that long to get in the ring, I started 8 months ago (no previous experience) and have my first class C fight at the end of June

To be honest I don't actually know, you just kinda get told "oi your fighting in such and such a day".
This sport is a tad disorganised like that, you turn up to a fight and suddenly the rules can change or your fighting someone different. You just have to get in and do it though. The only thing I do know for sure is that my instructor wouldn't let me fight if he didn't think I could handle it.......(I hope!!! ![]() ).
