![]() | http://www.montrealmartialarts.com/ They seem to have a good selection of interesting MA's ( bjj, kali , mt etc.. ) I've only trained in TKD ( yeah..i know.. ) and i heard it can compliment MT. What do you guys think of the above gym ? Another thing, i know MT fighters do alot of sparring and i am cursed with bad eyesight. I know i cannot fight with my glasses or contacts so what am i supposed to do ? Fighting without em is possible..yet i'd be VERY disadvantaged.. PS Nice to meet you , im monkeyman.. |

![]() | The website you listed is Guro Phil Gelinas' site, and you really can't go wrong at training anything at his school. He is a great guy that is constantly bringing in amazing instructors from all over. Another place you'd be safe to check out is Khru Norm Grimard's school. www.sparmax.com D |

![]() | Monkeyman, I've trained along side some of the folks from the Sparmax gym and I really enjoyed the experience. First of all those whacky Canadians are a total crack up... one of the fighters gave me, in expilicit detail one of his pre-fight, prepatory secrets and too this day, I wish he hadn't (he he)... and of course I mean all of this in the best possible way. They were all great fun to work with and learn from. In between jokes and laughs, they really put me through the ringer out in the field of screams. I'd love to train with them again. As far as your eye sight is concerned. Work on your prumb and create a inside game for yourself. Also work on cornering your opponent and cutting off the ring. Then you can feel rather than see the things that need to happen. "A man's gotta know his limitations." - Dirty Harry - Good Luck! Sincerely, Brian Yamasaki |
