I have trained at Fairtex in the US, they go all out when they train for fights, I have trained in France and in Holland, in Japan and in Thailand. This is what I have seen: the Thai fighters in Thailand fights sometimes 3x a month. They don't need to sparr hard, they sparr for timing and fight rythhm ( I hope you know what this is) they can't risk getting injured. This would often mean they would loose a paycheck! The Europeans can go hard but I saw Rob Kaman and Peter Aarts kicking the heavybags with shinpads! The Fairtex crew would tell their fighters they would have an easy time in the ring for 3 or 5 rounds if they could last during training, they would go hard. The Japanese have the Kamikaze thing going and they will not only knock you out they will go to a rivaling gym and challenge them! So from my experience you can see training all depends on the trainer the environment and some other factors.
The reason Muay Thai fighters don't last forever is because they fight starting at age 8 at 3 times a month you figure out how many fights they have. There is no reason to talk bad about eachtothers trainer, kru or grandmaster every trainer has something unique to offer! Johan Vos the trainer of Hoost, Rijker, Hippo and many more world champion Muay Thai fighters only had 3 Karate fights in his younger years and lost them all! Yet he is now worldfamous for his fighters...does this explain what I mean to say?
