They either fail to fully describe the sportsman's abilities or settle on pure hype while overstating the accomplishments of the name bearer. Rarely do you have a "real" Air Jordan or "Iron" Mike Tyson; most athletes today just want to seem badass and choose a nickname that attempts to make that connection.
