Guns are the best weapons if available. If not...:

How to make an AWS-1 (AWS= Ass whoping stick)

    1. take a fibreglass rod

    2.Wrap the base with tape.

Instruction. Hit the guy across the face. Severe bleeding and cuts will be seen. Run.

Or get a pepper spray. Highly effective.

I'm glad you mentioned pepper spray. Best to keep the attacker out of arms reach if possible. One lady here in Honolulu pepper sprayed a guy who tried to rob her with a gun. The police found him in my wife's work building in the bathroom

taking a flashlight one step further

... all right, what about a laser light pen? They've been used to blind subway train drivers and even helicopter pilots. Could do some non-fatal damage in an attempt to make your escape.

One thing...those incidents occurred at long range. Its a pretty horrible weapon for self defense. The police can use it if they are doing an organized raid, fighter pilots can blind enemy chopper pilots with it when they are not authorized to fire weapons, but you cant use it when some guy has a knife and is three feet away.

That isn't how Newt's Whoop ass sticks are made, and interrogation sticks damn sure aren't legal to carry.
My work is done, what else is there to say.

Improvised dude. I know its not the real thing but its good enough. As for legality depends on where you are from. Technically a fiberglass fishing rod has similar effects.

variation of pepper spray. As a kid I used to live in a mexican ghetto. A bag of chili pepper powder is good to toss in people's eyes. It stays on your fingers so you can rub it into their eyes.

    Keys are good.

Throwing small dense objects is not easy to do under pressure. Holding them in your hand and releasing them with an out of range "jab" is very effective. They think you are out of range and you hit them around their eye and emediately follow up with a more serious attack. Even loose change in your pocket would work for this. A sack or cloth bag of chili powder is even better as it will impair their vision and cause pain.

I think I might like this new member! LOL

"In all countries where personal freedom is valued, however much each individual may rely on legal redress, the right of each to carry arms - and these the best and the sharpest - for his own protection in case of extremity, is a right of nature indelible and irrepressible, and the more it is sought to be repressed the more it will recur."

Thank you for sharing useful information.A weapon is concealed when it cannot be seen on your person or, if you are in a vehicle, in your vehicle. A pistol in a holster worn on a belt in plain view is not concealed. A pistol lying on the passenger seat of your car is not concealed.

I just hope your a bot, because if you are not, you are an idiot. Just wear a slightly long shirt and dont tuck it in and the holster is perfectly concealed. And no moron leaves a gun on the passenger seat.

    FLMKane,

This my sound like BS but I have seen one person in my eight years leave a loaded handgun on the front seat of his vehicle. It was in a holster but plainly visible. I would say that a moron does leave a gun on his front seat.

Don't know if it's been mentioned yet, but the idea of carrying a cane around to use it as a defensive weapon goes back to Bartitsu--
