Im not big omn laws, im still in high school but i was wondering if you can just walk around with a gun, knife, or tazer, concield or unconcield. What would happen if u walked though a metal detector and willingly gave them your gun or any other weapon to hold while you were inside that building/ stadium/ area.

It depends on where you are.
In missouri It is legal to wear a gun on your hip as long as it's not concealed or loaded. You can have a permit to carry one concealed. You really have to know the laws for your area. Also most often you cannot have a permit until you are 18. If you bring a weapon into a school it is a federal offense the same with federal buildings so just turning it over is probably not going to do you much good.

Jab,
also in florida, you nee to wait till you are at least 18. then know this, Florida law REQUIRES that you have a concealed weapons premit AT ALL TIMES when you are carring ANY weapon concealed only...it must be concealed. YOU CAN carry a blade exposed properly in a sheth, hell even a sword, but as young as you are, someone will probally question your intent, and that could cause you a hassel. Be Careful. Florida law also dictates that even with the proper permits, THAT YOU CANNOT bring any "weapon" onto any type of school facility, stadium, or any other government, private or recreational dwelling. There is a gun show almost every weekend in this state. they are always in S florida (the Suncoast gun show). Take the Concealed weapons class. It is not the best class in the world, but they are current on the laws and they go over quite a bit. I thing you only have to be 18, but you have to be 18 anyway, if not 21, for any of this anyway. |
