Default Real SD

Has anyone here had a real SD situation they had to deal with. If so post, and explain how your training helped you/didn't help you.

The problem in answering a question like this, is that it can bring up legal issues. Anything on any internet forum can be used against you. So, please post carefully.

And remember just becuase you acted within the law (using violence in SD), you can still be sued by the perp or the perp's estate.

I have already given disriptions of some of my SD situations here (on this forum) so I will not do so at this time...sorry.

There was this one time at a party, a drunk guy was starting something with a friend of mine, who was smaller and had no martial arts training. I went up to this dude and pulled him away from my friend. I guess it was a bad thing on my part, but it looked like the drunk guy was going to hit my buddy so I took action first. So when I pulled him away from my buddy, he tackled me down instead and I just held him in my guard for like a minute or something. I didn't choke him or put a submission on him, but I didn't get hurt and that's what's important. The bystanders quickly grabbed this drunk guy off me and we went our separate ways.
