The Geoff Thompson message forum closed down. Only the owner knows the real reason at this stage.
Regardless, the mods have put another together. It is a temporary address for now. Anyways, all are welcome to register and get it off the ground! http://selfprotection.lightbb.com/index.forum |

I was browsing thruogh martial art sites and came across this site, Butthan Martial Art, (www.butthan.com) and was amazed to find in the history that Martial art realy originated from India and not China. I had heard such fact before about budhidharma to be an indian monk who had bought the martial arts to china. And my respect goes to the fouder of the system, grandmaster Dr. Yuree who has taken the rightful step to revival of the lost heritage. I would like to know whether any of you know more abuot the system. Are there any other martial arts from indian sub continent?
Thanks Wind Warrior |

OOOkkayyyy....
Anyway, thanks TB for giving the link. I've spent some time lurking the Thompson site. If this one is by the same group, I'm sure it'll be more than worth a look.

You ain't reading thoroughly enough m calingo!
http://selfprotection.lightbb.com/viewtopic.forum?t=623 http://selfprotection.lightbb.com/viewtopic.forum?t=617 Troll, we are all against mindless art bashing. I prefer to make an objective decision based on a very wide scope of experience, in both real world fighting and the fighting arts. The only "mindless" thing about it is from the guys who have invested their limited training into something that is poor, but they are not strong enough to break out of it and grow. Now that IS mindless. |

"Troll," huh, coming from you? That's a riot, like the pot calling the kettle black. I would say your own behavior here, especially in the CMA forums tend to be more trollish than anything I've written here. It's one thing for you to state your point of view. It's another thing when you start claiming others are liars because they say a wing chun technique has worked. Any time there is a discussion about wing chun, or some other martial art you disdain, we can all count on ol' TB butting in, saying how this doesn't work, or that doesn't work. It's ironic, don't you think, that your sig line defines you perfectly: "If you always do what you've always done, you'll always be a boring tosser....... " So there--have a nice day, Tosser. |

Don't despair.
I think TB reserves considered contribution while he seeks to impress others. There doesn't seem to be any need to take the posters on this board seriously. He's all serous and respectful here though; http://selfprotection.lightbb.com/ft...ight=Wing+Chun Quote:
