Yeah, your poll options make your biases pretty obvious...making it a pretty crappy poll if you're actually interested in getting opinions.

The best way to self edit a poll is this -

Not to post a poll at all.

Am I right? Do I win a coconut?

You can't edit your poll.
You could ask staff to do it for you, or alternatively, re-phrase the poll and post it as a new thread.
Staff could delete or move this one.

I have chosen "not fighting at all".

I prefer to emphasize awareness/avoidance, escape, and de-escalation over physical self-defense. As the old saying goes "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure".

Before voting I assumed that awareness, avoidance and de-escalation were no longer options on the table, so the pimp hands were already flying.

K, I voted for not fighting at all.

Who here is afraid of getting hit? Getting hit and knowing how to deal with it is a part of self defence.

I don't know about "afraid" but I don't think many people enjoy getting hit.

But fact is, there are some hits you can't "deal" with other than by falling to the canvas...or sidewalk. A good shot right on the button, especially bareknuckled, is going to take out most people, no matter how "tough" they are.
