I'm currenty training at at reality based school and have been for two years next month.

We spar reguarly, 1-2 a week covering aspects such as multiple attackers, empty hands, empty hands vs. knife, knife vs. knife, stick vs. empty and so fourth.

Not having seen many reality based school sparring sessions (as opposed to a mma or NJJ match) and was trying to find a better insight into what other "types" of sparring are comon at reality based schools as well as how the sparring sessions are handled as far as time (are yours timed?) setting (on mats, outside on grass ect), at what type of force do you guys normally train at (say, 25%, 50%, 75% ect).

Also we have the option to wear as much protective gear that we would like but at the minimal gloves, cup and mouthpiece are required as well as eye protection for weapons sparring. How much if any protection is most common with reality based training groups/schools?
