Maybe I hang out in the wrong forum…I do kind of feel out of place here sometimes.

Anyway, They do make 40rd magazines for the AK but the 30rd mags I was referring too was for my M4.

i know some stuff about weapons, my cousin knows even more, hes a weapon junky ( pistols, ak 47 & stuff),... ok let me go forward whit this conversation.

i tought its a joke since, well i dont know what kind of laws are there in US, so i tought ur making a joke, cus i tought it would be imposible to have so much weapon at the same time, but perhaps there is no law which would forbid more then 1 gun per person

Ok, like some time ago i did carry weapons whit me, you never know eh?

Carried Peper Spray which was pretty strong (if u dont know area around you, there is no way you could walk normal, you cant see shit)
And for some time i carried knife which poped out on the press of the button (dont know what is it called in there, but here we call it something like "jumper" ) / or i carried a small hand knife which blade is not more then 5 cm.

that was all protection i can get and its still illegal to carry and of the item mentioned above, when i was searched by the police they always almost sent me to "court". But i did talk to them bla bla bla and they left me go always whit an warning "if i catch u whit that again your going straight to the judge" .

I could have a gun by now, but i think its stupid to have a gun, while one person said an good thing: "its not smart to have a gun until your 30, you could easly be drunk one night and then pull your gun for nothing" i think he is right, while your jung going out and stuff, its better to stay aways from that, in the heat of anger you could pull your gun for nothing.

So for now the only self defens thing i can use is, either my skills in MA or that small blade which could kill someone but it would need alot of effort for that, its like a blade,i call it blade of pain (cant kill ya, but can make u alot of pain). And im even avoding carrying it around, im 18 now so by our laws im over the age of teenager, im like totaly grown up person (by the laws), so carrying that knife makes u more problems then if u do not have it.

I live in the USA, not in New York, not in Connecticut, not in the Peoples Republic of Kalifornia. Where I live peoples Constitutional rights are respected and protected.

Besides having a CCW (concealed carry permit), I also have a tax stamp for full autos, a permit for silencers and short barrel rifles and shotguns. This is all based on paying fees and federal background checks of course.

I can basically carry just about any weapon I want too.

If that should ever change such as a newly elected Sheriff should stop giving out CCWs and other types of weapons permits I will move to a county or state that still does.

Dont, its not like we wouldnt defend ourselves with the same determination should the situation require it. Over time it could turn out that things go differently for us, our families face a potential threat for example and we change how we behave and what we train in.
I think you wont find people that are on the same level as you because they dont need to, but if it was needed they would step their game up accordingly. to that end i think people can identify with it. your just what we would be if we were in your shoes and vice versa.

regardless of that the posts are fascinating. If i were to meet you in real life id annoy the crap out of you asking you so many questions for hours on end about so many of these things.lol so please keep posting!

on topic, i have thought about getting a machette for the home, just incase, i cant get a gun, but machette i could and i have trained escrima in the philipines and in the uk so have some idea how to use it. something like that might be an idea i guess and maybe some sort of security system to alert me to intruders, not sure what though, laser trip wires would would be cool but id bugger about all night trying to sneak past them.

I have drills with my wife and kids. They all know what to do if the door suddenly comes crashing in (home invasion scenario).

We also drill at night with intruder scenarios. My kids know where the strong room is and escape routes if they are unable to get to the strong room. I practice sweeping my house in the dark regularly.

Since “solo” clearing of structures is probably the most dangerous thing you can do it would be better to get out of the house or barricade yourself in your room and let the BG come to you where you can ambush him…but with kids I have to make sure they are okay so I practice clearing rooms in my house, in the dark.

The gun laws are much tougher here in Maryland thus I only pack when there is a threat of danger. I rely on 2 lead pipes in my trunk. Because of blood borne illnessess I prefer blunt weapons to bladed weapons but I have a nice little arsenal of bladed weapons.

I won't give away my element of suprise but I assure you I have a nasty little arsenal that will get just about any dirty job done. The only thing I have to do is "Get to it". With the power of Prayer and My Army combat training, I can pretty much handle any situation. The biggest threat to a trained soldier is the threat of Ambush. A properly executed Ambush is nearly impossible to stop thus you need the Gods on your side. No matter what your belief or higher power is; you need them on yourside.

Why don't you install a home video monitoring system. You can get one at home depot for about $500.00

Hardball, I think one’s spiritually is always a factor in war or personal combat.

As a Christian I try to live the best most honest life I can. When I go into combat rather that is in a foreign war or in personal combat against a street thug I want to know if I should die that I have lived a life that I don’t fear judgment.

I do however have to do a lot of repenting and I have done things that I have pleaded with the lord to forgive me for and only hope he will.

But I think the more we train, especially proper training, the more the Lord helps us. Living the proper life at least for me reduces the fear of dying which allows me to go into combat with fewer inhibitions. I feel I am a good person who fights daily against evil tendencies.

11. I always have my briefcase with me. In my brief case I keep a Surfire flashlight, another Glock with 3 magazines, two more knives, Ibuprofen, my note book, and whatever book I am reading at the time. I just finished “Flyboys” about WWII pilots in the South Pacific and I am starting “Sea of Gloria” America’s voyage of discovery the U.S. Exploring expedition by Nathaniel Philbrick. I am always reading something.

My wife thinks I am insane.

I also lived in Maryland for a couple of years…I chose to carry in the non-permissive environment.

Those laws certainly do not prevent the thug from using guns to commit crimes, now do they? Those laws only serve to protect the criminals from guys like me.

Personally, I will not let anyone deprive me of my “constitutional” right to "keep and bear arms". And my life and the lives of my family weighs more important to me than risking the threat of being put in jail.

I didn't say I don't pack, I said I pack when there is the threat of danger. I'm more Covert about what I do. Don't you know the FBI, CIA, ATF, NSA, STate police, etc etc etc read these forums on a regular basis?
