IWB carry is okay if you don't have a holster to put it in. I like a shoulder rig to pack it under my left arm...

I never like to carry anything that might fall out during high speed maneuvering thus forcing me to reach for it and then brandish in order to run. I guess I can see it for the woods but I'd still prefer a thigh rig.

I guess I'm just old-fashioned.
I carry on my belt, just aft of the seam of my jeans, in a nice, medium-brown, made-to-last horsehide holster. If I need to carry anywhere else, I usually choose a small pistol, like my Bersa or Walther .380s, and I just drop them in a pocket with a panel of leather ahead of them to keep them from "printing." |

Yeah, it definitely depends on what you tend to wear. I work in suits, and so I'm almost always dressed in a jacket. When I'm off duty, I wear button-up shirts and jeans, and untucked, they cover my gun just fine.
I learned some tricks for carrying in shorts and a t-shirt that still work well - but I'm not tellin' here. They still work for getting guns past metal detectors, too. |
