I know many instructors who are married/going out with their students. Even Bruce Lee ended up marrying his student.
I think flirting is down to the individual - there is a line and you either know where that line is or you don't. To be honest it is better avoiding the whole getting intimate with students thing. It is nice to take students for a meal, but if you get too close they can get disrespectful or can end up making things awkward in class. As an instructor, I don't date students. However, if I was training in another art and a female student from that art asked me out then I would probably take her up on it! |
