![]() | ========= On another thread I was recently told that we are the weaker sex among other things. http://www.martialtalk.com/forum/sho...=1#post1128263 Is this the case? should we give up our martial arts, stay home and have children? is there any point in us learning to defend ourselves? Interestingly, fencing is the only combat sport in the Olympics without weight limits, which I can think of. Maybe weapons training makes more sense for women? Maybe it just makes more sense for self defense actually.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I remember posting a picture of Marcus Ruhl's wife the last time this topic came up... Generally speaking, men are bigger and more muscular, physically stronger than women. Sexual dimorphism. Common sense. That being said...many women are stronger than many men, and many men are weaker than many women physically. There are outliers from the mean/average. That being said...we picked up weapons and continued to develop them throughout our existence as equilizers. Same with developing techniques to overcome another individual unarmed. |

![]() | Although, thinking about it... I was on a bus the other day. These two scum bag ho girls got on the bus, and one of them didn't pay. The bus driver then stopped the bus, telling the woman to pay or he wouldn't drive. They went totally crazy at the bus driver, until i stood up and said "Get off the bus or pay, we all did" she then started spouting ruderies at me and then approached me and slapped me, then stood there looking at me as though waiting for some reaction. I then decided I was in danger, because this 5 ft 7 90 pound girl was staring at me pretty horribly, so I jabbed her in the face. She slumped on to the ground and started crying, she clearly hadn't thought her vicious assault through. Then I smiled at the rest of the passengers on the bus who seemed rather interested in the whole affair, and I continued to read my newspaper. I still have nightmares about this incident, what if she finds me, and slaps me again? |

![]() | that's not the worry. the worry is her finding someone who is more vulnerable than her, after what you've taught her about resolving minor issues with fists.

They may not obtain the same striking powress, grip strength etc. but with training they can accquire and perfect technique, improve their conditioning all while building a fighting mentality and becoming more assertive.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Size and strength disparities are probably why systemized and codified methods of violence were developed...not to mention other forms of technologies, such as, um, say, the club or a sharp piece of fractured dog femur. We are sexually dimorphic creatures, but women and men have the same capacity for using tools, and using their brains. |
