You could probably hit someone with it... They are very bright at night so you might just blind yourself if it was burning. Hopefully not perminently. Save the burning stick for the juggling act

I tried to wrap a bunch of newspaper around one of my rattan kali sticks and light it up to do siniwali at a party...but the damn thing kept going out. I was thinking about using an accelerant...but it just blew out faster. Any ideas for a better burning "trick" stick?

Yeah, but glow sticks aren't NEARLY as cool as something that's on fire...

hey man...getting hit with sparklers really does sting like a bitch.

Bottle rockets might work better. That would be some funny shit to watch...somebody coming after you would probably run if they had roman candle shit flying at their face.

Hmmm i can see the book now, "pyromaniac SD hints" By Fire Marshal Garland.

combine the knowledge from your book with clown college and it will give you a SD system no one would be prepared for.

A couple people were spinning fire at the cookout I went to last night. Actually, it's a pretty common hobby. They were using metal chains with what looked like a cage or holder of some sort that held the fuel on one end. I'm not sure exactly what they use for fuel, or what they use to hold the fuel. It's lots of fun to watch at night. I know the guys that take up that hobby get used to buring themselves, although usually not too badly.

Those are called poi. Most people who are just starting out use kerosene, but I know other fire spinners that will use Coleman, or mix Coleman with charcoal starter or Coleman and kerosene. All have their advantages, but kerosene is the safest. And there are a ton of measures they take to avoid getting burned more. Everything from wetting and concealing long hair, wearing tight-fitting clothing, submerging kevlar wicking in fuel, squeezing out excess fuel, lighting equipment at the base (away from the fuel container), blowing out the fire from the bottom of the wicking before the fuel runs out and the fire burns the wick, keeping damp towels around in case this doesn't work (and fire extinguishers!) and having safety people around.

I love fire spinning but will never try it until I can effortlessly spin unlit poi sticks without hitting my legs, lol. It's also amazing how well those poi get tangled around my arms and how hard they are to untangle.

No worries. I have this weird fascination with fire spinning... Some people use lamp oil, especially for fire eating... Kerosene's not that good for ingesting...
