Fist Tony Blauer is brilliant!!

All of you out there who are saying how horrible Coach Blauer is don't know what you're talking about. He is a brilliant man who's concepts can work for anyone. His S.P.E.A.R. system is the best self defense you will find out there. I trained with Coach Blauer personally just this past weekend and it was the best experience i think i've ever had. It was so helpful and informative and I feel that using his system I would be able to defend myself on the street if the need ever arises. So those of you who keep putting him down don't know what you're talking about because he is an absolutely amazing man who is out to help as many people protect themselves as possibel. Thank you!

The best experience you have ever had?

Girl, have you lived life in a cupboard under the stairs?

Better to call him 'Coach' than 'Elite Grandmaster of the Universe', eh?

If training with Tony is the best experience you've had, you've obviously never done CQC Death Grappling with Sensei B T Y.

That is an experience you'll not soon forget.

No I don't live life in a cupboard, but you obviously live a life of denial if you're saying how horrible Coach Blauer is. There is nothing better out there and I am glad that my instructors have introduced me to his system because I now feel that I can truly defend myself if i ever need to. And I have that feeling because of my training in the S.P.E.A.R. system!!!

Beth,
Once again, I am glad that you have found something that you like. However, please stop trolling and try to contribute something useful.

I am glad that you feel this way. However, your first comment has nothing to do with your second. Such unfounded assertations really don't do anything to support your argument. Care to substantiate your claim and prove that you have actually trained with Mr. Blauer as you say that you have? Why do you feel that Mr. Blauer's methods are superior? Why would you rate them above those of other highly-regarded instructors? Please explain for the forum. Thank you.

OK...YOU WANT TO KNOW WHY I FEEL THE WAY I FEEL? THEN LISTEN UP!!

I HAVE BEEN TRAINING IN THE MARTIAL ARTS FOR ALMOST 10 YEARS. A FEW YEARS BACK MY MOM ONCE ASKED ME IF I FELT THAT I WOULD BE ABLE TO DEFEND MYSELF IF I EVER HAD TO, AND I HAD TO SAY THAT HONESTLY I DIDN'T KNOW. ABOUT 2 YEARS AGO MY INSTRUCTORS STARTED INTRODUCING THE S.P.E.A.R. SYSTEM INTO OUR SCHOOL. IT IS NOW THE ONLY SELF DEFENSE WE DO. MY INSTRUCTORS TRAIN WITH COACH BLAUER IN MONTREAL A COUPLE TIMES A YEAR AND JUST THIS PAST WEEKEND HE CAME TO OUR SCHOOL AND GAVE A SEMINAR. HIS CONCEPTS ARE THINGS THAT REQUIRE NO TRAINING WHATSOEVER AND CAN BE EASILY TAUGHT TO ANYONE. HIS THEORIES MAKE SENSE AND ARE APPLICABLE TO ALL SITUATIONS. WITH THE TRAINING I AM GETTING IN THE S.P.E.A.R. SYSTEM I AM CONFIDENT THAT I CAN DEFEND MYSELF IF THE NEED EVER ARISES. IF MY MOTHER WAS TO ASK ME TODAY THE SAME QUESTION SHE ASKED ME A FEW YEARS AGO I WOULD HONESTLY AND CONFIDENTLY BE ABLE TO SAY YES! THIS IS A POWERFUL THING FOR ME AND IT MAKES ME FEEL SAFE LIKE I HAVE NEVER FELT BEFORE. COACH BLAUER'S SYSTEM IS THE BEST SYSTEM THERE IS OUT THERE BECAUSE IT CAN BE DONE BY ANYONE AND IS NOT DEPENDANT ON SKILLS...IT IS DEPENDENT ON HUMAN PHYSIOLOGY WHICH EVERYONE HAS. IT IS A FOOL PROOF SYSTEM AND I WOULD RECCOMEND IT TO ANYONE!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but did you just tell two moderators AND our Official Tipper of Sacred Cows (that would be Bitty) to shut up? AND IN ALL CAPS TO BOOT?

You're doing a very poor job of convincing anyone of anything. If you're trying to sell us on Tony Blauer and S.P.E.A.R. that's fine, but you're going to have to do a better job of addressing our concerns before we just jump on the hay wagon and start singing songs of praise with you...

Would you care to try again in another thread?

I believe that she did. Not too bright, this one.

Beth,
This is a response to your posts on both Tony Blauer threads:

Firstoff, stop writing in capital letters...it's annoying. If you would like to remain a member of the forums, you will have to change your ways.

Second, you have said nothing that supports Mr. Blauer in any way other than "he's the greatest." The fact that you have been studying Karate for ten years is nice, but it hardly makes you a resource for self-defense knowledge--though that is not to say that you don't know what you are talking about.

Third, you come across as overly emotional and annoying rather than analytical, which serves to impress nobody and annoy everybody. Please try to act like you are more than a child.

Finally, there are a great many people who do not care for Mr. Blauer's presentation of his material. The fact that he tries to copyright terms, loves those 'million dollar words,' and comes across as quite arrogant is very off-putting to a great many people. However, as I stated before, he does know what he's talking about. Though I find that the SPEAR has flaws, there is no question that it has saved the lives of many law enforcement officers, and Mr. Blauer deserves credit for that. However, the same can be said of the teachings from a number of other instructors. I am not arguing that they are better or worse than Mr. Blauer. I am simply making you aware of the fact that there is definitely more than one show in town.

Please!

I can't say much for his attitude, though I've heard some good things about the SPEAR. Could you elaborate a little bit on the system?

Don't bother with it. There's better out there minus the ego, the god like attitude and for less dough. Check out Richard Dimitri's senshido, Sammy franco's CFA and Geoff Thompson's stuff, top notch and you won't get a half hour speach on intellectual property rights when you order from them!

I trained with Tony Blauer for about 3 or 4 years about 13 years ago. Yeah his stuff was good then but his ego is incredible and not in a good way. I could go over stories but it's pointless everything from stupid things he'S said to (unfortunately) dangerously irresponsible things he's either done or led to happen.
The point is he does have something of value to offer but at the same time I do agree with those here who say his stuff is expensive and he's just not a great person to know or be around. (If I saw him on the street now I probably wouldn't even talk to him.)
The important thing is this: Does whoever your training with or learning from inspire you and help you improve your abilities?
That's the important question.
