Good Question.
When a similar question was posted, I thought that the only certification you needed was a business degree so one can properly handle the financial/marketing side of their dojo. In order to really be a good teacher, you also must be able to develop your students physically and mentally. So I would suggest that you do work towards a business degree, and also major (or minor) in some sort physical therapy/physical education/sports medicine program. In addition to that, you will need to take a few courses in psychology.Originally posted by eXcessiveForcehere are classes I would recommend,
Psychology
Child Psychology
Counseling
Business statistics
Economics
Strategic marketing
Accounting
Business Law
Composition classes
I'm sure there are others but I'm not thinking of them right now.
Good Luck.

martial arts and college
I want to run my own school eventually, but I'm not sure what classes I should be taking for the remainder of high school and college. I know business is one, and I'm taking a business/computer class next year along with a fitness class. I want to start planning and I was wondering if any of you could help. Also, is there a college in the Michigan area (or any area) that has a good business curriculum? Thanks for you advice...
