  • Kung Fu and Boxing Training?????

    Hi,
I've been boxing for 4 months and want to train in Kung Fu as well. Is this to much to take on.
atm I train 4 days a week and also do weights training 3 times a week.
Am i goin to burnout if I train in Kung Fu aswell as boxing??????

I think it will be easier since you started with boxing and are then moving to KF. I ask, are you an awesome boxer? If so you can probably spend time doing something else like Kung Fu. Usually it takes at least 6 months to a couple years to be a very good boxer. It would be better to get proficient at boxing before moving on. Then when you move on...really take Kung Fu seriously until you are great at that. You're still training hard no matter how you look at it. This just allows your brain to be able to separate the two arts better. If you are not an awesome boxer yet, wait and devote your time to boxing before switching arts. Just my opinion

I think you'll be ok. I trained every day for hours up until the age of 40. Then I spread it out between light days, moderate days and heavy days but I still train everyday. I just look at Kung Fu as Chineese Boxing.. Keeping it simple

Im currently training in both but have not joined a kung fu skool. I train 2 times a week conditioning and 4-5 days a week with the rest of my training.
I've been doin boxing for 4 months but i have also done tae kwon do for a year before that. im finding it ok but dont know how hard i should train.

Any mma training guides just as an example would also be a great help

I've been training 6 days a week for the passt 3 months and haven't burned myself out yet.
I really depends on your attitude and your body's ability to keep up with the training.

My body is fueled with the right foods so i guess its just a question of how far into the pain barrier am i suposed to go.

I will continue my training till i am convinced otherwise.
