Some political "event" at a Safeway store. No security? still seems odd to me.

"Among the dead were John Roll, 63, a federal district court judge, Gabriel Zimmerman, 30, one of Giffords' aides and Christina Greene, nine, an elementary school student who attended because she’d recently been elected to her Student Council and was interested in politics".

senseless... tragic... sad...

Unfortunately there are portions of our society that create these types of nut jobs. From poor parenting, to turning a blind eye to bullying, to what we encompass as society. Unfortunately violence seems to be at the fore front of our culture.

Instead of being adult about it and educate the younger generation, instead people want to stamp violence out completely, effectively taking away our ability to defend ourselves, or ignore it and say it's not really a problem.

There was no security, it was a grocery store parking lot. No idea why no one shot back. possibly no one was armed or willing.

Been thinking about that so called "Tucson Massacre"...

Any thoughts? Aside from condolences?

Tragic indeed but I can't seem to find details about security or why no one shot back?

He managed to slot a second magazine into the weapon but it failed, and two men grabbed the weapon and threw it away before subduing him."
