Boxers, no not during his time. Brawlers, yes that is for debate. Alis speed was incredible. I would not be so quick to dismiss the speed of a man that can not only finish a match, but win a match, with a broken jaw. There are not too many people that can make that claim in any type of sport/combat fighting.

When it comes to any KungFu Category, NO ONE BEATS THE SHAOLIN IN A HAND-TO-HAND FIGHTING, BUT WHEN IT COMES TO SWORD FIGHT - NO ONE BEATS THE TAOIST SWORD FIGHT.

Bruce Lee will win and Ali looses for the following reasons:

Ali knows only BOXING for many years of training.

while.....

Bruce Lee knows WingChun, TaiChi, AngKaKun, Wushu and many forms of Chinese Martial Arts and other non-Chinese martials arts.

its simple as....

BRUCE LEE know the alphabets of BOXING,

while....

ALI doesn't know the alphabets of any one of these Chinese Martial Arts.

we all know that....

If you know your fighting alphabets and you know your opponents fighting alphabets, you will surely win a fight.

If you know your fighting alphabets and you dont know your opponents alphabets, it is a battle of either win or loose.

If you dont know your fighting alphabets while you know your opponents alphabets, it is a battle of luck

but if you dont know your fighting alphabets and also you dont know your opponents alphabets, the fight doesn't begins yet but you are already loose.

so....

If you all know how depth the Chinese Martial Arts compare to Japanese, Korean and West and etc... they are all no match for KungFu.

but....

it depends upon a person natural inborn capabilities....

but bruce lee can hit you in a single blow

it doesnt compare whether Ali is Big and Bruce is Thin,

Bruce Lee know not only WingChun but TaiChi (wu systems), AngKa, and WuShu, and also Tiger and Crane like those of AngKa as well....

and even in a staff or broadsword or any chinese from sword to spear to 3-sectional staff to twin-hooked sword, Ali could not beat him....

Ali is damn quick as a heavy weight and very deceptive. He can also take a hell of a punch, after punch. Did you see the George Forman fight the rumble in the jungle? Ali took right after right from Forman and still took Forman out. I've seen Ali's jaw get broke and he still won. Do think Bruce can hit harder than Forman, Frazier, Norton and others? I think not.

I would bet on Ali. There is too big a difference in size and experience. It is absolutely impossible that Bruce Lee at 140 lbs could hit harder than Ali. No way at all. From what I hear, Lee hit very hard....for a 140 pounder. However, there is no way his power could come close to that of Ali's.

Chinese Martial Arts cannot put into the ring cause all of its alphabets thrown to opponents are only rewarded with fouls and disqualification of illegal blows, and in the tournament especially in boxing fights will Muhammed Ali is more on refferee stop or time breaking when you hit your opponent illegally.

you know, when you engange in a fight, everything that we can held into our hand is considered a weapon, kungfu is a very dirty art of self-offense, the more that you are not familiar with its alphabets the more you will loose. As a very dirty system of KungFu, they use grounds or wall or the tree's at your back, for you to seem imposible to do it and that is what we want for, expecting a hit which is imposible for him. A stick that you can pick beside's them when they fight is considered an extension of a KungFu Systems.
