tkd is NOT crap!! it is only crap if you are looking for a hardcore martial art for fighting and self defence. however if what you want is fun, fitness, flexibility and a sport more fun than baseball than tkd is da bomb!! its like saying scuba diving is crap cos you cant break someones leg with it.
Chinaman is still trying to make that point. Keep trying.
I only used TKD as an example.
So if I make a crappy martial art where you block strikes with your testicals then by jules logic it would be really effective (all martial arts are effective when they are first created, that's what he said).

Possibly the funniest thing I have read on this board.

Good point Lizard, Chinaman remember that when a martial art is created it is there to be combative to some degree, else what IS the point, why would TKD have kicks at all.
If TKD is indeed as useless as you say it is i see NO justification for its existance, and more importantly for it having been created, why create something that does nothing?
Im sure Dr chou chu a shoe meant well and was tyring to make a fighting system, he just got it wrong.
aikido worked when everyone carried swords. it helped you evade until you could use your weapon, the techniques a taught agaisnt sword strikes.
tkd worked when you were standing on the battlefeild and had to kick a guy on a horse.(maybe)
wushu is a sport derived from gung fu and works in movies.

I wouldn't bother kicking a guy on a horse, I'd make some sort of pole-arm (such as a spear or halberd). Wouldn't the horse strample you. If I ha to make an unarmed attack I would pull him (or her) off rather than do a fancy spin kick.
So when does my testicular blocking oriented style become effective then?

Man you guys have to take your heads out of your a$$'s. Who hear ever fought in the 16 or 17 or 1800's?
Anyway, as far as kicking a guy off a horse, who is to say the guy is riding or has his attention towards you, perhaps when they kicked them off the was making sure there was an element of suprise or they was at least in a good position to do so (riding 30mph is not a good position.)
As far as far as proud chinaman and tkd, he is just saying that people do it for fun and health, Yeah it might not be effective in fighting but niether is a Yoo Yoo.
I swear, you guys hear what you want to hear and just love making stuff out to be more than it is. God know you all love to argue, but damn, don't just read, comprehend.

Listen how is a horseman at 30mph at a disadvantage.
Really, you are an idiot, youre so dumb it makes me mad.
If i had a horse i would charge at you at 30 mph and knock you down and cut your head off in the process, whats an unarmed TKD guy going to do against a armed horseman???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
