I think that was obvious a long time ago.

No, but it will make it obvious to anyone else reading the thread that he has no idea what he's talking about.

This is totally up for debate. The so called low blows were nothing of what I am talking about and there were so many attacks to vital areas that could have been done, it is amazing that these guys don't go for them.

Keep bringing the weak examples of horrible fighting, they are not kung fu men fighting there, and NO kung Fu is not just like karate.
What's your point? The clips I posted clearly show both head butts and groin strikes- you can't say they weren't allowed because, obviously, they were. While we're at it Jubaji made a great point; show us some examples of real fights that you think show good skills. They don't have to be you personally, they don't even have to be someone you know, just as long as it shows what you consider good technique against a fully resisting opponent.

Why are you trying to change the subject? You called the vids Sag Lu posted "weak" and I then asked you to provide some that are not weak. Let's address that first.

You can get a good look at Mark Coleman using head butts at 3:45 of this clip:

There are plenty of other examples out there, these two were just the first that I found with a simple youtube search. As you can see it isn't up for debate, it's a well documented fact that both head butts and groin strikes were legal, and that fighters did use them. Getting rid of them just didn't have a huge impact because the fundamental skills that the fighters needed to win remained the same.

Head butts and groin strikes were allowed in the early UFCs. As it happens Royce Gracie's game plan didn't make much use of them and he dominated all of his opponents despite the fact that there were no weight classes. The fighting didn't really change much because they were eliminated though. The same fundamental skills determine the outcome of the fight with or without them. I'd have expected someone who'd been practicing MA for 20 years to be aware of this.

I believe you are wrong, the early fights of MMA were not life and death fights, lol, lol, lol

and Gracie had been fighting with his style or sport for a long time, so he already knew the rules from his style. It had been engrained in him to fight a certain way. besides, i am sure not many of the fighters then would have gouged the eyes or groin even if they were allowed.

I am not sure if in the MMA they are allowed to head butt in the face or the nose. If so I have not seen this much.

Interestingly I had two grapplers who had done wrestling come to the kung fu class last week. They were interested in Kung Fu and they liked the Seven Star Mantis form we were learning. Afterwards I was talking with them about the MMA bit and I said to the stronger one, I had him attack me with his attack and he saw that Kung fu works. He again attacked me with a shoot attack, he was real fast and i used a shifting stance technique that lifted one arm and pressed the other down, he went flipping over to the side. he saw that there are different ways of dealing with grapplers.
