You understand so little, but you are partially correct. You are correct about society becoming more tournament oriented, but sparring full contact is not dangerous if you don't use the dangerous techniques. I'm not saying don't train them, but you make TCMA seem more dangerous than what it is.

Benn, first of all, I don't have anything to prove, and I don't fight for pride and glory as you seem to think. Secondly, if you really understood Kung Fu, you would know that it is very dangerous to even spar full contact. There are many dangerous techniques that will seriously hurt the opponent. Yes there are many techniques that can be done that would not have to do so. But in combat you never know what is going to come at you. And Kung Fu was designed for survival combat, not sport.

What seems to have happened in our western society, is that many martial arts schools want to get into the Tournament circles and have student spar for trophies and glory and to make it fun for the kids. I understand the kids part. So they gear there fighting towards a softer kick boxing style sport competition. This may do away with some of the survival combat aspect often and a whole new thing comes out of it.

Wrong, I have tried to take the best of the four masters I have in kung fu and put it all together. From Hung Gar, Choy Li Fut, Seven Star Praying Mantis, and Shaolin, along with other styles. Hung has solid powerful motions and wonderful tiger techniques, it deals with hard and soft, and gives a good foundation. Choy Li Fut has fast flowing continuous movements and effective circular techniques, Shaolin has strong forward motion attacks and solid movements, The Seven Star Praying mantis has fast attacks, intricate footwork and wonderful principles of fighting in it. It also has many many forms and two man fighting techniques.
The snake style has fast circular, smooth techniques that make defense almost impeneterable. It has accurate precision attacks to vital areas and shifting footwork.

All together there are a wide variety of motions and defenses, along with some of the most effective attacks in Kung Fu.

Hey I am just tiered of your mocking mantra. Why not actually try and have a discussion with other martial arts teachers and discuss techniques etc.

You really do have a problem.

For statements like that you killed this forum it looks like. Soon you will have to go back and quote yourself and talk to yourself and tell yourself to shut up, there will be noone here for you to attack.

    repent and trust in God.

Hey go sit in the corner and repeat this phrase,

"I will not enter into forums on the net again until I learn to be nice and curtious"

I think you killed this forum, it is dead
