My instructor showed me an escape from an RNC. It was similar to what TigerClaw is showing.

If I understand correctly, most people are saying you cannot escape from a seated RNC. Therefore, no one will be able to show an example.

This actually came up with my instructor one time. I asked him, what is the counter? He said, "you know, there really isn't one. Once you are losing blood and oygen to the brain, it's nighty night time in about 3 seconds"

As I said before, my instructor choked me out in actually under 3 seconds. Maybe it is because I am weak and not very experienced, but I started tunneling out after about 1 second. It was instantaenous, or so it felt.

And I've said the same thing. I've been choked out by my instructor when he's put me in an RNC. Heard 1..., 2...., but I didn't hear 3. I was already out cold. I never said I could escape from it once the choke was executed correctly. But my instructor Mr. Cai said that what TigerClown is doing would never work. He would be choked out, and he would never be able to move like that against a skilled grappler. To test it we tried it, and even without him putting pressure on my windpipe, it still took far too long to get out of the chokehold.

Hey Arieson, i think there is a escape for sitting RNC, i will try and get some pictures or a youtube video of what i was shown.

It has worked for me in the past, takes timing and you need to react as soon as you feel the opponent go for the lock.

Oh and out of interest, which army actually uses kung fu as its self defence? Australia doesn i know that, pretty sure the yanks dont, Iraq's use Krave something i believe... If kung fu is so pressure tested and deadly, would it not be in today's modern army as their unarmed combat?
