I'd say boxing, wrestling and judo.

Those wrestling guys are a real handful and show you the diff between a wrestling and bjj approach. ie. speed and power vs precision and patience.

its not savate, savate is reasonable but its not exceptional. it doesnt have anything new as such. its like a modification on kickboxing. hardly groundbreaking.

Sadly the "real" judo chop has been reduced to the ridiculous. It's the object of laughter and pseudo systems alike.

Tai Chi actually has a movement in it very similar to the Judo chop Tant. Maybe thats where all the laughter started

Agreed. Nowadays most BJJ guys give wrestling its due. The remaining naysayers are just the Larper/dojo zombie crowd.

I trained for 6 months at Steve Kern's "School of Hard Knocks" here in Florida.

For those of you who don't remember he was the original Doink the Clown.

I will say that pro wrassler's are definitely in some kick-ass shape but as far as martial arts skills go, unless they took an art before they took up wrasslin' then they are pretty much brawler's and acrobats.

What they do day in and day out is pretty impressive as far as entertainment goes but for technical skills that would work in a fight I gotta say there is not much there. Unless like I mentioned above they have previous training in a real art.

You'd think that, but it's surprising how many people have to be set straight (at least with the people I run into). I'll freely admit I used to have a low opinion of pro-wrestlers, and used to think Jackie Chan would own them. Now I have to laugh at myself for thinking that, but I do think a match between Rob Van Damme and Jackie Chan would actually be quite entertaining to watch.

Pro Wrestling is entertainment, with story lines but I think most people know not to Fook with a pro wrestler in the street.

I guess I don't see the respect it gets matching what I think it deserves. A prime example is Chuck Liddell isn't even recognized to have started in wrestling. People are more interested in the Kempo that he started later on, and have a tendency to disregard his solid foundation in wrestling. I also get this feeling across the board, if someone doesn't primarily wrestle (such as Matt Hughes), their wrestling generally isn't recognised.

I agree though, that the UFC did wonders to raise the respect wrestling receives, but WWE does just as much to detract from the respect - speaking of which, pro-wrestlers probably get the least respect and are among the most underrated. They need a high level amateur wrestling pedigree to get any respect outside the pro-wrestling world.
