    Inappropriate? By Himura Kenshin - 03-02-2009 11:30 AM

    =========

    To all my sistas on the warrior path:

    As a man I try to treat all training partners with the same degree of "indifference" regardless of sex. Meaning: I don't take it any easier on the women in the dojo because I would find such behavior insulting, agreed?

    The only problem I have is with attacking women in the chest. I can hit a man in the chest no problem and strike at his nerves around his pecs, but I grow uncomfortable striking at those areas in women for obvious reasons. I don't want them to feel embarassed or uncomfortable that I "touched" those areas, you know what I mean?

    However, because I am not hitting them there when the opportunity arises (as I would if mylife were on the line) am I being disrespectful to them by attacking them differently than I would attack a man?

    Do you women find this behavior in your dojo? Do you care if a man hits your breasts? Am I making a big deal out of nothing?

    Any advice is appreciated.
