Anybody know these two movies?

I have two movies that I have been trying to remember the names of for years. It is driving me crazy!!! The first movie is very much like the three ninjas, except it is the Asian equivalent. Three Asian brothers who live with their grandfather in the country lose his pet bird. They realize that he will be furious. They decide to go find their grandmother (who they do not know) in the city to take her matching bird from her and replace their grandfathers with it. They use their martial arts skills to deal with trouble along the way, which only seems to get them into more trouble.

The next movie I have much less memory of. The only things that I can remember about it is that it is a martial arts tournament that people place bets on, and all the opponents are great fighters who are held captive and forced to fight to the death. There is one character who has a long pony tail with a blade at the end. The main fight at the end is between brothers. One of the brothers is the return champion, who has an extremely sharp and nice katana sword which I remember him taking special care of in the movie. The other brother is actually the person who should have gotten the sword from his father. All the fights take place in a rather small, enclosed, cement room.

Any help with figuring out the names of these movies would be appreciated.
