In a bit of a tight spot...

See...theres this underground fight club that jus started at my school...and someone was "kind" enuff to sign me up without my approval (i dont participate in those things). Now normally i would say "no im not fighting" but there is one small problem...if i don't fight theve threatened to kick my ass. Whats worse, the guy im supposed to fight has at least a 50-60 puond advantage over me, and doesn't likeme very much. Im starting to think that he arranged this. Im not too scared to fight but i do have something called a brain. I have almost zero MA experience.


Why do u think they would do something like that? Do they just want to sell extra tickets so people can see me get beat?i dunno why someone would do a thing like that. i wasn't sure where to post this but here seemed like the best place..

any comments? suggestions? thx.

Yeah, tell em to back off and your not interested.

Exhaust your options and give them every chance to let them know your not interested. Get the police to document it. If you have any friends that are police officers, let em know what's about to go down.

If you're forced to defend yourself against the big kid and believe that your life is in danger, then hit hard, hit fast and bite his c@7k off if you have to. He's 60 pounds bigger than you and could kill you

I told them that i wasn't going to do it and they backed off. Unforunately, they don't know when to give up since all they did was sign me up to fight someone ELSE. This person is around my weight but i don't want to risk gettin in trouble with the cops, or partacipating in bareknuckle brawls of that sort. I'll continue to stand my ground and not fight.Guess ill just have to wait and se what happens.

Sounded to me like you're being coerced into fighting and that's immoral and just plain illegal. If you have any sense that they really mean it and are either not backing off or they're setting you up for later, get the cops and the school authorities involved now. File an official complaint and get it on the record. If you have to defend yourself against one of these mental midgets in the future you'll have that on your side.

Also, if they leave you alone, who's to say they're not going to go after and coerce some other guy who's maybe not as "strong" or as firm as you are and will do whatever they say, getting himself hurt or suspended or in trouble with the law. These jerks need to be stopped and they've placed you in a position to do something about it. You don't even have to do this publicly, tell the authorities you want to remain anonymous for your own safety.

i do feel a lil giulty tho...some of these guys are ( or USED to) be my closest friends.

Real friends don't do that.

Also, talk first to somebody about it you can trust. A parent or a family member who can advise you and whose judgement you respect. Somebody who knows your heart and can help you make the right choices.

yea i guess ur right. I should be more careful with who i hang out with.

Well if you were able to you could kick the ass of the guy that signed you up, when he's not with his other buddies that came up with the idea. If you were to mess him up enough you might make him and the others back off, but you want to avoid a multipul on 1 type scenario.

Anways when you say "underground fight club" can you be more specific. Is it just wrestling and barenuckle boxing over a another kid's house when the parrents are out? Or is it more?

Also do you have anyway of subtly finding out the dick that started this kind of thing. I dont have any suggestions but i suppose if you dont want to fight annoymously contacting the police is your best recourse, but they'll suspect that you turned them in.

Anyways prehaps you should considder making new friends, and in light of that I've got an old saying.

From what i understand it was a UFC type thing, but bareknuckled and the only rules were i) no weps 2) no low-blows.

Actually, the person who started it lives a couple blocks from me. He's the kinda person who likes to make money,has a lot of connections and could possibly find out if i filed a report to the cops. i guess ill take my chances.

The guy who signed me up lives a good distance from me but i swear anyone within a 10 mile radius can hear him . He never shuts up, and i guess he had nothing better to do than put me into this. He's about 120 puonds an pretty scrawny...i could probably mess him up. But hes got lotsa friends.

But i dont wanna put myself in more trouble than im already in. I was actually supposed to fight tonight. But right now im just gonna wait and see...maybe it was just all talk...
