Hell yeah I've seen it. And Mike, you know that already

I spent June, July and August in Thailand and so missed Ong Bak at the cinemas but it came out on DVD and VCD half way through my stay.

I've written about it HERE -----> http://www.truestudents.com/thailand...opic.php?t=136 so if you're interested go and see.

I have it on VCD as well and so can see it on my comp whenever I want. However, I have only ONE copy (which set me back a cool 1 pound 20) but am looking at ways of burning it so I can distribute it around merry England for all you fine Muay Thai people.

I was lucky enough to see this great film in theatres in Bangkok when it first came out. I'm a big fan of movies and martial arts movies and this is one of my favorites. It makes Muay Thai look very dynamic and exciting kind of like how Kung Fu movies do it for Kung Fu. Three of my friends have villain roles in the movie and it was fun to watch them get their butt kicked on the big screen. I also own the DVD which I got a friend to mail me from Thailand but you can order it online at:

ARGH.. I can't get the link to work and I'm ready to chuck my comp out the window so just do a google search for ong bak and go to ethaicd.com link.

Does anyone know if the DVD version has English subs to it ? I want to buy it (it's only $12 shipping to the US is included) but I want to understand what's going on as well.

                    Fight review

"WHOOMPH, back to reality and Blake found himself on the floor. Whilst he had been having the flash backs his opponent had been knocking him all over the place."

                    LOL!

Zoti, my DVD does not have english subs... even though the movie version I watched in Theatres did... go figure. I do know that a Hong Kong company is going to release an english sub version but I don't know when that will be. Maybe the version online is already the one with subs, I don't know.

I saw it in Thailand. I thought it was entertaining in general, but it did get cheesy at times. Also, the main protagonist speaks in Loatian(?) so I didn't understand him nor his villagers. There is this guy who speaks with a voice box that nobody can understand too. Of course, this is all fixed with English subtitles, and it's always nice to see a martial arts film that isn't based on some form of kung fu.

This sounds like a movie I saw parts of at Oregon camp last month... If it's that same film, I am so going to find a copy. Incredible action and stunts, unbelievable. Plot? I didn't notice the plot 'cause I was picking my jaw off the floor between fight scenes.

                            Ong Bak

I have this movie. If anyone is seriously interested in getting an original, they can e-mail me. I can ship them to you for about $12 as well and I am in North Carolina. It is definitely an awesome movie. I have watched it about 5 times now, lol...

                              Ong Bak 2

I bought a VCD of Ong Bak at a local store and really enjoyed it. I’ve read a few comments about an Ong Bak 2. Does anyone know if there is going to be an Ong Bak 2, or is this just an internet rumor?
