  • 30 days to increase cashflow.

Okay everybody, I need to increase cashflow in 30 days or less.

I need to sign up 50 people for the gym,

    Or 75 Tanners

Or 25 new martial arts students.

Or I need to generate income from some other source. Since I work the gym from 8 am to 9pm that rules out most second jobs and that taking a second job would only help in the short term. I need something that will help in the long term.

Any Ideas that would be helpful are appreciated.

    Thanks everybody.

You need permits for that, I think.

Anywho - you say you want to increase cashflow. Cashflow has a different meaning for accountants.

From what an accounting friend of mine tells me (I don't know jack about any of this, just kind of telling you what he's told me), cash flow is the balance of different sources and uses of cash. Changes in cash flow are classified under 3 different categories - those relating to operational cash flow or cash from day to day operations (i.e. you finally receive cash payment for a receivable - source of cash, you right off depreciation of some asset- cash source), investment cash flow or cash changes that follow significant business changes (you accquire additional business -use of cash flow, you sell part of a business - source of cash flow) or financial cash flow which refers to cash changes with financial institutes (you receive a loan-source of cash flow, you pay off part of that loan-use of cash flow).

The net change in all of these sources and uses of cash changes your cash position.

Again, I dunno much about these things but maybe it can give you some perspective...

Just curious, what are your current marketing efforts? Do you use banners? Flyers? Radio/TV commercials? Ads? Word of mouth?

Do you put together creative projects? i.e. This month is Childrens self-defense month, estimate the market value of what people in your area willing to pay for this, put energy into marketing this, give yourself some realistic projections and bring in maybe a police officer to give a talk from a tactical perspective about how to identify trouble, while you teach self-defense techniques that could help a kid break free from restraining holds and help them run away.....

teach them that a smart child is a safe child. A fit child is a happy child (there's your slogan). Give discount memberships for those who sign up on the spot and advertise for other promotions - women's cardio taekwondo or what have you

I should warn you that I'm no business type

            eXcessiveForce-

run a referral program for your current members-
"bring in a friend and recieve.."
            "buddy days"
"for every friend signed up under your name- you recieve (work out t shirt, free passes to special class, movie passes, etc.)
give members that are outgoing business cards that advertise your gym but with their name on it, with the incentive that they give the cards to their friends to "try out the gym" (or recieve an introductory rate membership compliments of...) that way you can track the person who is referring people by the number of cards that come back with the member's name on it.

these have always been successful for us-
