Hi there!!!

We've created a free website with martial arts lessons for our overseas students (my instructor likes to travel *a lot*):

It takes a lot of time (training, recording, editing, crashing computers , etc. etc........) and money (hosting, bandwidth, digital camera's...).

So... the question is:
We would like to keep the site free for everybody, but also make some money so we can continue our work....

Any suggestions?

Why don't try a banner exchange or something like that. What I have done to offset the cost of sites I create is offer a Yourname@mysite.ext type email addy for say 5-10 bucks a month. I found that this very quickly offsets the cost of my websites. I also joined up with a 31 yr old NYSE company and now earn about 2,000 a day thanks to those guys so there are options in the 10 hr a week range as well. one of the best sources today is the google adsense program. It displays ads relevant to the major topics of each page. If anyone clicks on the ads, you earn $ for that click.

The best way to eventually earn money on the website is to first optimize it with SEO ( serach engine optimization) technigues. Once your google Page rank in in the 5 or 6 category based upon incomming links, then you can sell advertisment or links for other pages.
