  • Water bags?

    Water bags/hydro bags.
A punch bag with water in 'em.
    Anyone tried,anygood?

Apparently they don't move much & feel like hitting a live target?

    Cheers Jez

I recently saw a post on a forum (can't remember where) from a guy who sent his back on warranty 5 times because they kept leaking within a month. He gave up on them in the end. But he did say that they felt good, before they leaked.......

Hi.There are three types of them.
      1) Free standing base water filled. Had it long time ago (century). Good to punch, good to kick, you can even simulate some throws. What is bad, the bag slides away. After 5 punches you could move about 3-5 feet. Did not have any problems with workmanship.
      2) Hanging water core bag. Has a plastic water bottle inside. Got one now. Century Hydra Very good. Less traumatic than regular bag. But if you goal is sheen conditioning, good only at the beginning.
      3) Hanging water bag. Contains a rubber bladder inside. Worked on one before very good, does not have that mach of a swing.

        I've had two.

They dont swing as much as a traditional heavy bag would, it makes you want to work harder.

There definetly is a difference in the feel of the bag when you hit it. It gives you alot more resitance. I prefer hitting a water bag. Thing is tho, they leak alot, you constantly have to refill them. Water is constantly shooting through the top when you hit it. It becomes a pain real quick.

          Cheers for the info gent's.

I think I'll stick with my old bag for now (& the missus).
Beside I'm saving up for those SBG 'street boxing' dvd's.

          Cheers Jez.
