Hello
I have an endurance type question regarding my past few amateur boxing matches. I consider myself to be in pretty good cardiovascular shape. I can usually last a long time in the ring as far as my "wind" goes. I'm not usually out of breath at the end of the match.
In my last few fights I noticed that my shoulders start to burn/fatigue towards the end of the fight so I cant throw many punches compared to the amount of punches I was throwing at the start of the fight. Now even though I win most of them, the ones that are close decisions or that I lose is usually partly due to not being able to throw a lot of punches.
The snappiness of my punches goes down towards the end of the fight as well. I'd appreciate it if someone could tell me how I need to train so I can throw more punches without my shoulders and arms getting tired?
As far as my 'wind" goes Im not really that tired at the end of the fight because I do both aerobic and anaerobic running because I know thats what I'm supposed to do to get good wind. It's just my shoulders!
Thanks
