Are there any ways to prevent or minimize nose bleeding, other than dont get hit!

put tampons in your nose

They can go in and burn the blood vessles going into your nose so that it will not bleed so much.

You don't hear much about people doing that anymore though. I assume it is still done though

doesn't that increase your chances of getting some kind of infection in your nasal cavity and what not. That sounds just nasty.
