I would like to x-train in boxing to learn how to get the power.

Our motto is- "a 3 hit combination should be able to take out 3 opponent's.

I need to learn how to take them out with the first strike- knowing that a prolonged engagement is risky.

Good sites for great fight DVDs

I've been looking for some of those fighters vids. I'd love to watch 'Tito' vs. Vargas or some old Hagler fights.

Others that I'd love to watch: Gatti v. Ward (1 or 2), Tyson v. Hollyfield part 1.

Does anyone know of any good sites that sell fight DVDs?

There is a great book called 'Facing Ali' which is 15 chapters, each written by a different opponent of Muhammad Ali. Just an overall nice take on who these great fighters consider to be the greatest opponent they ever had to face, and why. I personally favor Muhammad Ali for his footwork; Jorge Paez for the way he could control his body; Roberto Duran for his punching; ditto Marvin Hagler; Sugar Ray Robinson for his control of the clock; and Floyd Patterson for his contributions to the art of boxing, heading the New York State Boxing Commission for many years and being credited by many with the invention of the thumbless, or attached-thumb, glove.

              oops

Sorry, that should have read Sugar Ray Leonard in the last post, not Sugar Ray Robinson, although either was a great fighter.

                great fighters

The Real Sugar Ray had 119 fights before lost his first one.
Robinson knocked out a cat while dancing backward. I think he should rank high on the list. and Don't forget Archie Moore
                peace

                  Yeah

Hey BrotherD, that's a helluva feat to knock someone out shuffling backward. I think Ali was good at that too, wasn't he?

It's the trainer that makes the fighter in my humble opinion. You can go to any inner city street or back woods farm and find a young man with the potentional and heart to be a champion. But if he doesn't get a good trainer to school him in "The Sweet Science", he will go nowhere.

The first man that comes to mind is Mr. Angelo Dundee. Without Dundee people like Sugar Ray Leonard and Muhammad Ali {Then Cassius Clay} may never have reached super stardom. Sure Ray and Ali were great but Without Angelo the legends may have never been born. There are many other great trainers out their but Angelo is the first that comes to mind.

The next one who comes to mind is Mr. Emanuel Stewart. All you gotta do is listen to these types of men talk and instantly you are awed because they know what the F#@%k they are talking about.

Also, Patterson was the first two-time heavyweight champ (I think).
ala david tua? How heavy was that guy: solid boy..who beat him? It was Lewis wasn't it.
Too right about not counting on the one punch though- but they teach us back up strike's of course.
or ...Double palm stike(for a hook); or 1-2 palm strike then Hammer fist...
                          Knees to groin..
Grab's...separating hand's(breaking guard's), Pulling down the guard, collapsing the guard..ummm a lot to learn and it get's confusing...so I should learn some boxing to get some flow happening I think. I want to try Aikido though to just avoid most contact and throw them into a wall and be able to tell the cop's he through himself(Yes/no?!? hahahahahahahaha)

I would say definately NOT with him...but cool eh!!
