I was pretty young when I used to watch Mike Tyson so he looked like the greatest ever!!! Now that I'm a little older and have learned more about boxing, I honestly don't think that Tyson fought the best of the best. However, this is not his fault. Like many other fighters, it seems to me that you have an outstanding fighter with subpar competition during their prime (i.e. Lennox Lewis, Roy Jones, JR.) That being said, I still feel that Tyson should still be considered to be one of the all time great heavyweights. The greatest?!? Umm...arguable in either direction. If we're handing out superlatives I'd give him, HANDS DOWN:

    1) most intimidating
    2) greatest knockout power

Geeez ok, no way, wow .......I can't believe you said one of the greats yes, grestest arguable in both directions? What are you smoking bro, pass it over. C'mon for aiight, this is my opinion, but I would debate as calling him one of the greats. Theres not a snow flakes chance in h*** you or anyone could ever call him THE GREATEST. I don't care what era were talking about. I mean he got destroyed by ppl while he should've still been in his prime. Thats kills every chance he ever had right there case over.

My personal opinion is that he is not the greatest. I am just saying that others can argue their point either way. I rank him amongst "the greats" though.

Out of curiousity, where would you put Lennox Lewis?
