  • Boxing Workout

We don't have a boxing gym around my area. I was wondering what kind of boxing workout I could do to be the best I could be without having a trainer. I have a speed bag, and a heavy bag.

Get the Bas Rutten's Mixed Martial Arts Workout. It will get you in shape. Add some focus mits, boxing instructional tape/dvd and a training partner and you are in business. If no boxing gym, what about kickboxing or muay thai? Professional instructions are always the best bet.

Well I do club wrestling on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays and our coach is a Blue Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu as well. So he also teaches us mixed martial arts with Kickboxing attire.

If you can find a gym in Huntsville Alabama I'll gladly go to it...

to be good at boxing u need a partner to spar with . the main thing about boxing is having to deal with real punches. if u have a partner all u need is gloves, headgears, and mouthpieces. even if u arent doing the techniques properly with eachother, ur getting experience in fighting and moving about. just practice hitting eachother lightly and doing combos and take turns attacking and evading. its ur best option without instruction i would say. ymca's have boxing programs i think, as do colleges and junior colleges.

I've been looking around, and I don't see any boxing programs in my area (and we do have a YMCA). Could anyone please find me a directory somewhere, so I could find boxing on any level?
