Anyone have any good footwork/mobility drills to share that can be done alone. I feel it is an often undertrained aspect of the sport, but highly important especially if you are often the smaller guy as I am. If anyone has any please share!

Do you have rhythm? How about coordination?
You probably think I'm about to ask you if you danceIf you have both, you can figure it out once you start sparring. Black guys play a lot of bball - they know all about timing and footwork; Latino guys are slick dancers - same thing.

This is a very good point. Find your dance (movement). think like a corner back running with a receiver. When he moves you move front, back, side to side Cross pattern.
Advance step, then retreat and pivot, practice four corners pivot 90 degrees.
once you find comfort with your feet make your hands work with every move, from throwing punches to shielding (cover and return fire)
Hopes this helps.

MMouse thats a pretty good link. If you were to practice those, youd be fine.
Jumping rope helps, but concously incorporating footwork into your normal sparring drills will help much more.
Tom Yum, where did you learn that garbage? Dont believe everything your parents tell you. When you grow up you'll find that the world is not that simple.

Mike that is very good advice. I really like the advice about aiming for their kneck. This is what I do, and it works really well. If you slip you might even break a collar bone. Eventhough I've been told that this is a bad habit, I still aim for the throat to keep them on their toes.
I just wanted to add one more thing.
Against taller opponents you can close distance effectively by using a double-jab and moving in.

Do you play bball? I 'try' to, key word 'try.' If you've ever played at a public court, you'll know what I'm talking about. You will get stuffed and out maneuvered 9 times out of 10 unless you play as your favorite hobby. GO to your public basket ball court and tell the first black dude you see that he can't play.
Latinos not being able to dance? No offense, I take it you don't get out much.
Do you live outside the US, in an ivory tower or a gated community?
