A old bareknuckle boxer named said "My three best techniques were the chokehold, the rabbit punch, and the head butt - former heavyweight boxer Chuck Wepner." Suprising these are not allowed anymore. Its also stranger that this guy has the same name of the person that inspired the rocky movie.

Nope it was inspired after seeing a boxer named Chuck Wepner keeping getting up after he was getting beat, showing a lot of heart.

Those were the good old days They also had the cross-buttocks throw, chopper fists, shovel hooks, and a ton of other fun things.

          chopper fists?

That sounds like a knife-hand to me. Old school boxing was oh so dirty. Some of those techniques are long forgotten.

Essentially thats what it is, more closely akin to hammer fists nowadays. You can only punch a guy in the head so many times before your knuckles are ready to pop, so thats why many bare-knuckle matches that didn't end with a quick knockout often ended up being wrestling matches. They used the chopper on their opponent to hit them on the back of the head where the skull meets the neck to knock them into la-la land. I agree, that's why I try to learn all I can about it and hoping to someday write a book on it.
