  • my mom needs help

hey my mom is 43 and has arthritis. She is short and is large-ish. She cannot do sit ups because it hurts her neck. She walks consistly and often but was wondering how to tone her stomach. She cannot have a medicine bag droped on her stomach cause of something or other and she cannot raise her legs cause pain in her legs. I was wondering if there is any exercises "fragile" or older people do to toneand work her stomach area? I cant think of one that doesnt mean vigerous workout which she cant do. Help is appraciated greatly thanks

    shit tha's too bad

43 and arthritis, is it ra or osteo my rehum guy said I had ra but tests say I don't, but, I do have osteo in both big toes not that I give a shit and I have some inflamitory condition in both feet where if I dont take 1,000 mg of naproxen a day I have feet probs, but your moms case sounds pretty bad to me, I'm up to 150 crunches a day after 2 weeks, but I'd have your mom consult a doc or a physical therapist(even though I detest both doc's and pt because they are to alarmist in my view) if your mom has pain in her neck and legs then I'm not sure what kind of ab work is approiate for her/ wouldn't aggravate her condition so I think it's best to consult a professional before trying a new routine.

Water aerobics, swimming, stationary cycling anything to keep her active and help her burn calories will do. These are not too stressfull on the body.

I wish you and your mom good luck on putting a plan together!
