Poor Roy Jones Jr!!

well roy jones got his 3rd loss to Antonio tarver on Sat nite which you would think might finally convince him his days of glory are finally over. Tarver took the fight by decision in what most would say was a boring match . Jones was too reluctant to commit himself to his abilities and played the safe game against Tarver which cost him the fight saying "you have to be a brawler to beat tarver". But jones still has no plans to retire yet. Should he?

I hated to see Jones layback like that, I feel strongly that if he would have would cranked it up some after the 5th round he could have knocked Taver out. I decided I would never pay for another pay-preview he was in. He first and biggest mistake was having his day as lead in his corner. It’s not like Taver really showed anything either. Best fight of the night was the Nate fight before Taver and Jones. I have worked with Nate on the pads a few times at the local PAL here in Jacksonville, he is a very explosive fighter and hits pretty hard for a little guy.

I am still a big Roy Jones fan, but he's shot as a fighter. But he's only lost once to Tarver before this last decision, not 3 times.

He obviously got old overnight. It happens.
