how many MA's are used to getting hit bare knuckle?? its illegal to train like that in, well in britain anyway. out of all the types of "combat" sports in the west boxers probably are the most used to getting hit! it aint quite like the east were they smash each other with bricks over the head and shit for warm ups, run thru walls for the fun of it lol!

not tryin to be picky or look for an arguement btw mate . .

Its illegal to train bare knuckle in England? No shit. Never heard that before man, interesting.
Ive sparred with just hand wraps before, but always light contact.. that might be part of the reason why i suppose. Cheers

          you can block an uppercut
keep your glove up, elbows in, and turn towards your back foot so that it impacts the side of your arm instead of your face and then you can counter with a cross combo or something

Take away a boxers gloves and he's screwed obviously. Can't fight at all innit. Just like when you take away matted areas from grapplers, it immediately makes grappling worthless.

Hoorah for things like Escrima, Kung Fu and RBSD. That's real fighting innit.

Yeah, I find smothering down on the same side it's coming from lets you whip back one of your own, then back away with a straight punch.

But I find tucking the elbows in tight as previously described works too...and it will cover against just about anything other than a hook whipping around the raised hands.
