Shoulder roll used as a shell??

Yesterday i sparred with a heavier guy again (prolly about 40 lbs over me)..and he really has HUGE arms..everytime i tried to jab ..he blocked it with his huge shoulder..using it like a shell.The thing is his soulder is covering his chin and his whole arm is covering his side..i dunno how but that guard was impenatrable..maybe cuz of his size but anyway everything i threw at him ,he blew it away.

Any suggestions?

Hook off the jab - that's a good way to test defense.

Don't always lead with the jab; you become too predictable.

Get close and stick some body shots - back out.
